We mourn the loss of Margie Grace, a treasured friend and member of the Idaho Falls community, who passed away on February 5, 2024.
Born in Englewood, California, on April 1, 1941, Margie's 82 years were marked by a richness of experiences and deep connections that touched many lives. Margie's journey, filled with wanderlust and adventure, led her from the West Coast to the serene landscapes of Idaho Falls, where she made her home in 1989.
Her artistic spirit was most evident in her love for jewelry, especially turquoise, a stone she had an exception ability to identify and appreciate. Margie was not just a collector but a creator, designing several unique jewelry pieces that showcased her creative flair.
A movie buff at heart, Margie adored old movies and could recall actors' names with ease. Her passion for reading was equally profound, with Anne Rice's "The Mummy" ranking as her favorite book. Known for her extraordinary generosity and kindness, Margie made a lasting impression on everyone she met, always making an effort to remember names and making others feel valued.
Margie's profound love for her two Shih Tzus, Mike and Coco, was unmistakable. She went to great lengths to ensure their comfort, even modifying her sports car to better accommodate her beloved 'extra crew.' Mike and Coco, now in the loving care of Margie's family, will greatly miss Margie's Meals on Wheels, with the Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes being their favorite.
As we say goodbye to Margie Grace, we celebrate a life that was lived with passion, creativity, and love. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, a testament to a life that was as colorful and unique as the jewelry she so adored.
Margie's family thanks everyone for their support during this difficult time and invites those who knew her to share their memories, a fitting tribute to a life that was cherished and will forever be remembered.
We would like to thank the staff at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia for providing her with exceptional care during the last months of her life.
All are invited to a Celebration of Life Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the office of Teresa Johnson, 1995 East 17th Street Suite 5.
