Margery Garvin

Hazel Margery Mann Bare Garvin, 86, of Dubois, Idaho, passed away December 2, 2016, at Teton Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation in Idaho Falls. Marge was born January 23,1930, in Aroma Park, Illinois, to Clarence and Vera Farr Mann. At the age of 14, her family moved from Illinois, to Salmon, Idaho, where they made their home. Margery graduated from Salmon High School in 1948. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Marshal Bare. They lived on the family ranch in Birch Creek until 1975 when the decline in Marshal's health caused them to sell their family ranch and move to Dubois, Idaho. Marshal passed away in 1986. Marge worked at the Clark County School District for 24 years as a school bus driver, lunchroom cook, school secretary and clerk. In 1998, Marge married Tom Garvin of Henderson, Nevada. They spent their summers at their home in Dubois and winters in Henderson until Tom's passing in 2013. Marge is survived by her two daughters, Joliene (Randy) Crystal of Rigby, ID; Jeri (Tubb) Tavenner of Dubois, ID; step-daughters, Janet (Robert) Evans of Sandy, OR; Debbie (Monti) Spoor of Las Vegas, NV; step-sons, Darrell (Christine) Garvin of Henderson, NV; Thomas (Betsy) Garvin of Las Vegas, NV; and Michael (Chris) Garvin of OR; sister-in-law, Edna (Virgil) Valantine of Dubois, ID; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as sons and daughters by choice, Bruce and Suzette Horton and Harold and Paula Wilson. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marshal and Tom; brothers, Warren and Howard Mann; sister, Elvena Worsfold; and step-son, Rod (Cheryl) Briece. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Dubois Community Baptist Church, 220 S. Oakley Street. The family will meet with friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
