Margarita Contreras Mendoza

Margarita Merri Contreras Mendoza, 43, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 11, 2019, at her home.

Margarita was born March 25, 1975, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Frank Contreras Jr. and Helen Rodriguez Contreras. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline.

On February 27, 2010, she married Ruben J. Mendoza in Idaho Falls. Margarita and Ruben made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Margarita was a homemaker.

She was a Christian. She loved camping, helping close family and friends and spending time with her youngest nephew. She enjoyed jewelry making, baking, and crafting with her sister Frankey. Her parents taught her karate and jiujitsu and had a black belt in both.

Margarita is survived by her husband, Ruben Mendoza of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Samariah Rose Brixey of Pensacola, FL; son, Michael Frank Brixey of Pensacola, FL; sister, Frankey (Daniel) Ramirez of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Eugene Contreras of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Mary Contreras of Idaho Falls, ID; grandfather, Frank Contreras; and 16 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Gina Contreras, grandma, Margie Contreras, grandfather, Raymond Rodriguez, two nephews Diego and Dylan Contreras; an aunt, Nancy Perez; and cousin Rosario Contreras.
