Margaret Snarr

Margaret Carolyn Wasley Snarr, 83, of Idaho Falls, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away March 25, 2012, at her home of natural causes. She was under the care of her family and Hands of Hope Hospice. Margaret was born a twin, on October 14, 1928, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Thomas Charles Wasley and Nina Jeannette McNair Wasley. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, she attended Emerson Elementary School, O. E. Bell Junior High School, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married Dean Melvin Snarr January 17, 1948, in Paris, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 23, 1950. Margaret was a wife, mother, and homemaker. In their later years they enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, Arizona. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Margaret served in the Primary, Relief Society, and Young Women organizations. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting, needlepoint, and collecting cat figurines. Margaret was a wonderful cook. Her grandchildren always looked forward to her homemade cookies. She enjoyed family get togethers with all the kids. She worked alongside her husband and family on the farm, and, despite dealing with many health problems, she had a positive outlook and lived life to the fullest. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Dean Son, Dennis W. (Donna) Snarr of Roberts, ID, Daughter, Jane (Blaine) Simmons of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Nancy Snarr of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Nina Wesley of Shelley, ID, Twins, Daughter, Toni (Daryl) Dalling of Idaho Falls, ID; and Son, Thomas (Lisa) Snarr of Rexburg, ID; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Richard (Nadine) Wasley, and two grandsons, Devory Simmons and Jesse Jack Wesley. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Rosewood Ward, 1345 Clarence Drive, Idaho Falls, with Bishop George Cook officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
