Margaret Reynolds Metcalf, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away on November 29, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born June 9, 1925, in Marysville, Idaho, to Ward Willard Reynolds and Laverna Harris Reynolds, the fifth of 8 children. She remained close to her siblings throughout her life. She attended grade school in Marysville and graduated from Ashton High School. She then attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah. On August 30, 1952, she married Verle Smith Metcalf in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend to all. She was the first Manager at Atomic Workers Credit Union, now Westmark. Margaret was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and gardening. She was a fabulous cook and loved a clean home. Survivors are: Husband: Verle S. Metcalf, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Craig R (Lynn) Metcalf, Blackfoot, ID Daughter: Marilyn (Rod) Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Timothy V. Metcalf, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Bill (Sarah) Reynolds, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Colleen Pfost, Pocatello, ID 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Reynolds; and 4 sisters, Beth Blake, Ruth Meyer, Virginia Vigus, and Joyce Clark. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Summerfield Ward (3721 Shadow Mountain Trail) with Bishop Vance Fager officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Park.
