Margaret Mccomas

Margaret Lucille Allison McComas, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 28, 2016, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community.

She was born September 23, 1922, in Nampa, Idaho to Henry Peter Allison and Gertrude Porter Allison. The family moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where she attended schools.

On March 2, 1940, she married David Nathanial Leroy McComas in Manilla, Utah. To this union were born three children: David, Margo, and Kathleen. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Margaret enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, reading, and loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show.

Survivors are: Son: David Roger (Karen) McComas of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Margo Elaine Starnes of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Virginia Turcato of Rock Springs, WY 12 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, and 30 Great Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, David "Bud"; a daughter, Kathleen Marie Johnson; two sisters, Lorene Matilanen and Thelma Duncan; a grandson, David Todd McComas; and a granddaughter, Nichele Denise McComas.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
