Margaret Gaffner Gleed - 01/16/2003 Margaret Gaffner Gleed - 01/16/2003 MARGARET GAFFNER GLEED ARCO, ID -- Margaret Lucille Jones Gaffner Gleed, 79, of Arco, died January 14, 2003, at Lost River Hospital in Arco. She was born January 17, 1923, in Rhodes, Iowa, to Ora Thomas Jones and Ruby Irene Baldwin Jones. She lived in Tyhee and Blackfoot, attending schools in Tyhee. She married Vernon Gaffner August 23, 1939, at Challis, and they made their home in Arco, Idaho where she has lived ever since. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a waitress, a school bus driver, owned a restaurant and a convenience store, and worked in real estate and for INEEL in the cafeteria, as a janitor, and as an escort guard. Vernon passed away June 26, 1978. She married Jay Daniel Gleed August 2, 1991, in Arco, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of the Ladies Lions and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She enjoyed gardening and yardwork, ceramics and, most of all, her children and grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, January 18, 2003, at the Arco LDS 5th Ward, County Road, Arco, with Bishop Mark Pope officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Simpson-Marvel Funeral Home, 153 Lost River, in Arco, and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
