Margaret Clapp

Margaret Olive Wolfgang Clapp, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 30, 2010 at Gables Senior Living in Ammon. Margaret was born September 13, 1927 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Leland Elliot Wolfgang and Lois Ucilla Mulliner Wolfgang. She attended local schools and graduated from Madison High School. She married Eugene Charles Clapp on June 20, 1945 in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls on the family farm where they raised their three children. In later years, Margaret volunteered at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Margaret was a life-long resident of Idaho Falls. Following Eugene’s retirement in 1987, she and Eugene spent winters in Overton, Nevada and some summers in Island Park. Eugene preceded her in death on April 25, 2009. Margaret enjoyed gardening, crochet, fishing, camping and puzzles. Survivors include: Daughter: Kathie (Ron) Thurman, Bullhead City, AZ Son: Bruce (Connie) Clapp, Blackfoot, ID Sister: Annis Keller, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Rio (Elizabeth) Wolfgang, South Carolina Sister-in-law: Helen Wolfgang, Cheyenne, WY 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Walter E. Clapp; brother, Jack Wolfgang; and brother-in-law, Max Keller. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Gables Senior Living, 1405 Curlew Dr., Ammon, ID 83406.
