She was born February 8, 1928, in Egin, Idaho, to William Davis Zundel and Margaret Dougan Zundel. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from South Fremont High School in 1946. During Peggy’s first marriage to Billy G. DuPree she gave birth to her son, Billy G. DuPree, Jr. That marriage ended in divorce, and she then married Thomas Gentry Wilson, Sr. Peggy’s second son, Thomas Gentry Wilson, was born during that marriage, but it ended in divorce while both of Peggy’s sons were still very young. Peggy subsequently married Dewey Almas, but that marriage also ended in divorce. For much of her life, Peggy was a single mother who worked to support, cared for and loved, her sons. Peggy was devoted to her sons and sacrificed much for them. Peggy married S. A. Davidson on June 17, 1981, and they were happily married until his death May 26, 1988. She married Jack Chambers in 1998, who also preceded her in death on February 1, 2010, following several years of happy marriage. In addition to raising her two sons, Peggy worked outside the home for most of her life. In her younger years she taught dance. Later she became a skilled secretary and office assistant in attorney's offices and at banking institutions. Perhaps her favorite job was working as a secretary and office assistant at Idaho Falls High School. She loved being around the students and made many friends. Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed being a visiting teacher, and loved her companions and those she visited. She enjoyed dancing, reading, writing, painting, and acting. Peggy often found herself playing lead or supporting roles in community plays. Peggy especially loved family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, among others. She was always ready to help where needed. Peggy will be remembered as being a cheerful, positive, and loving person, who was always complimenting those around her.
