Margaret Ann Beahm, 93, passed away peacefully August 7, 2021. Margaret was born December 31, 1927, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Burleson Carroll and Sarah Marie Freeze Billington.
Margaret was raised and attended school in Cleveland, where her mother and father owned and operated Marie's Flower Shop for many years. She inherited a green thumb which was evident in her stunning gardens and especially her roses.
She graduated from Cleveland High School in Cleveland, OK, in 1945, as valedictorian of her class and the school newspaper editor. She also attended Oklahoma State University for secretarial studies.
Margaret married David Beahm on December 23, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. Shortly after they moved to Idaho Falls, where they raised their family.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, for over 55 years. She always had her Bible at her bedside, and she read the Bible from cover to cover many times throughout her life.
Margaret was involved in her community, as well as her church. She was a volunteer at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for many years where she received an award for volunteer of the year.
Margaret was a loving mother (5 children), grandmother (16 grandchildren), great grandmother (37 great grandchildren), and yes; great great-grandmother (6 great-great grandchildren). She loved being with her family and was one of the kindest, most gentle people you could ever meet.
Margaret traveled to England, France, and Italy, in addition to many trips to Seattle, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New York, California, Hawaii and Branson, Missouri. The family enjoyed many outings to Island Park, Yellowstone, Tetons, Jackson and the Bar J Wranglers BBQ. She and Dave loved spending time at their cabin in Island Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David M Beahm; siblings, Jimmy Billington and Sue Nell (A.W. “Mac”) McMurray; son, Alan Beahm; and daughter, Diane Marie (Keith) Bronson.
Survivors include her children, Douglas (Karen) Beahm of Snohomish, WA; Paul (Diane) Beahm of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Linda (Randy) Rohweder of Idaho Falls, ID; and brother, David L (Betty) Billington of Stephenville, TX. Many nieces and nephews as well as all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The entire Beahm family would like to thank the staff at The Gables Assisted Living in Shelley, and Hands of Hope Hospice for their compassionate care of Margaret.
