JUDITH BEAN
IDAHO FALLS, ID --
Margaret Judith Green Bean, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 20, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Judith was born December 2, 1932, in Pocatello, Idaho, to George N. Green and Margaret Wallace Green. She was raised and attended school in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1950. She graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Education and Literature in 1954 where she served as Sorority President at Gamma Phi Betta. She loved to share her life long passions for history, drama and English literature.
She married Gaylon W. Bean August 14, 1955, in Pocatello. She worked as a school teacher in San Diego, California and Fort benning, Georgia while her husband finished his college ROTC military service. Upon returning to Idaho Falls in 1963, she was instrumental in helping to found Western Wholesale Supply. After divorcing in 1980, she spent many enjoyable years working as an interior designer for Petersen's Furniture.
As an energertic member of the community, Judith participated in the Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary and assisted with the organization of the annual Red Velvet ball. She was a Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, 4H Leader, and Garden Club member. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family, was an active member of her bridge club and her book club, and gave many dogs a caring home.
However, her most rewarding job was that of loving mother and grandmother. She instilled and encouraged the spirit of giving to others by her example. She felt that giving should be anonymous, and her life exemplified this principle.

My Dear People,
I was so saddened to hear of Judy’s passing. She was such a dear neighbor and loyal friend to Grandpapa, and then to Mommy and Daddy, I know that we would not have been able to do it without her. I was four or five when I first met Judy (and that point, Puppy), and thought she was so lovely, gracious and charming – and just what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was such a blessing to be able to see her last year. I know it was hard for her, but there she was just as lovely, gracious and charming as she was when I was introduced in the driveway on Oakmont twenty-five years before. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her dear family, that brought so much happiness to her life – I know it is never easy. I am just happy to have known her.
All my love,
Anne Marie Brinkman
