Click Here To View Memorial Video MarDean Nyman Johnson, 97, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 23, 2014, at Morningstar Senior Living Center. She was under the care of Hearts for Hospice. MarDean was born December 3, 1916, in Logan, Utah,, to James Henderson Nyman and Sarah Rebecca Miller Nyman. She grew up and attended North Logan Elementary in Logan and graduated from South Cache High School. On November 25, 1936, she married Dale P. Johnson in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. To this union were born seven children, Nyman, Karen, Karla, Reta, Rebecca, James, and an infant daughter. MarDean and Dale made their home in Logan, Utah, before moving to Idaho Falls in 1956, where she spent the last 58 years. MarDean was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Primary Teacher and Relief Society Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed crochet, gardening, travel, and visiting with friends and family. MarDean is survived by son, Nyman Dale Johnson of Rigby, ID; daughter, Karen J. (Edwin) Curnutt of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Karla Jean (Peter) Tingley of Missoula, MT; daughter, Reta MarDean (James) Korbis of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Becky Jane (Steve) Forcey of Idaho Falls, ID; son, James Moses (Rose Marie) Johnson of Rigby, ID; brother, Lloyd Nyman; sister, Ruth Johnson; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, an infant daughter, brothers, Harvey Nyman and DeWayne Nyman, and her sister Bonnie Breazeale. The family would like to give thanks to Hearts for Hospice, and for the care of the staff of Morningstar Senior Living Center. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Tom Albaugh officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
