Marcus Tre Matthew Clay

Marcus Tre Matthew Clay, 27, of Lewisville, passed away December 20, 2023.

Marcus was born October 2, 1996, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Nancy Clay and Troy Stevens, and was later adopted by Anthony Manzanares and Laura Manzanares. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. He attended Montana Western and also went to Job Corp for a time.

On July 14, 2023, he married Shyann Roxie Ashbocker in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Marcus and Shyann made their home in Lewisville where Marcus worked as a laborer for most his adult life.

He was a Christian. He loved taking pictures, especially of himself. His siblings called him the “selfie king.” He grew up loving and playing wrestling and football and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan to the core. He also loved his most greatest accomplishments which were his children.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Shyann Roxie Clay of Lewisville, ID; mothers, Laura Manzanares of Idaho Falls, ID and Nancy Clay of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Marcus Clay, Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Emmanuel Clay of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Elijah Clay of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Sophia Jade Ashbocker of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Emily Paige Ashbocker of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Jessica (Jacob) Sonnenberg of Cheyenne, WY, Alicia (Corey) Mangum of Pocatello, ID, LaKesha Clay of Idaho Falls, ID, and Tiana Colby of Pocatello, ID; brothers, Robert Clay of Idaho Falls, ID, James (Naomi) Manzanares of Fort Wayne, ID, and Patrick Stevens of Idaho Falls, ID; and Troy Stevens of Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Manzanares; grandmothers, Shauna Clay and Judy Stevens.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Victory Assembly of God Church, 5600 South Holmes Avenue. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
