Makayla Strahle

Makayla Marie Strahle, 11, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, of injuries received in an automobile accident in Fremont County, Wyoming. Makayla was born June 20, 2000, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dale W. Strahle and Melissa Marie Hansen Strahle (now Sperry). She grew up in Idaho and moved to Wyoming two years ago, and she loved both places. Makayla was a 6th grade student at Wind River School in Pavillion, Wyoming. Makayla loved to fish, play on the boat and swim. She also loved brushing her doll's hair and playing with all of her brothers and sisters. Makayla had plans to join the volleyball team at school this coming spring. Her family said Makayla "loved life and was a sweet soul.” She is survived by her mother and step-father, Melissa and Daniel Sperry of Crowheart, WY; father, Dale Strahle of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Taylor Strahle and Katelynn Strahle; brothers, Dakota Sperry, Brendan Sperry, and Westley Sperry; grandparents, Gene and Rose Marie Hansen, Idaho Falls; grandparents, Chris and Dave Strahle, Idaho Falls, ID; grandparents, Steve and Jan Sperry, Denver, CO, great grandparents, Clyde and Joyce Clifford and great grandmother, Sybil Schuldt, great grandparents, Jay and Gladys Roper; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Richard Schuldt, Dale and Louise Strahle, and Floyd Hansen; great great grandparents of the Bates and Clifford families. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Christ Community Church, 5742 South 5th West, Idaho Falls, with Pastor Dan Smouse officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Memorial Services are pending for a later date in Pavillion, Wyoming.
