Mae V.E. Day Moran, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 2, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Solace Hospice.
Mae was born May 7, 1945, in Poplar, Montana, to Albert Longie and Eva Helen Bercier Longie. She grew up and attended schools in Poplar.
In 1975, she married Stephen Kent Carlisle in Salmon, Idaho. Mae and Stephen were later divorced. Mae made her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she was a loving mother. She was also a cook for various missions and homeless shelters in Idaho and Wyoming.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, singing karaoke, and going to yard sales. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Mae is survived by her son, Michael (Jody) Longie of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Wendy (Gene) Roice of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Steve Carlisle of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kelly (Myron) Eldridge of Berea, KY; sister, Boots (Harvey) Lake of Dillon, MT; sister, Terry Lowry of Dillon, MT; brother, Gene Longie of Dillon, MT; grandchildren, Dustin, Derrick, Ryan and Branden Roice; Cody Carlisle; and Joshua Longie; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Eva Longie; sister, Blanche Benales; brothers, Melvin and Benny Longie; sister-in-law, Wanda Longie; brother-in-law, Steve Lowry; and grandson, Thomas Croom.
Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the LDS church, 3700 East Lincoln Road, with Bishop Blondell officiating.
