HINCHEY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mae Evelyn Nelson Hinchey, 81, of Idaho Falls, died February 3, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born April 17, 1920, at Olwien, Iowa, to Nels Oscar Nelson and Gerda Amanda Johnson Nelson. She grew up and attended schools in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas of Minnesota. She married Ben Stanwood and they had four daughters. They were later divorced. She later married Louis Alan Hinchey, who passed away October 15, 1978. She lived in Minnesota until the mid 1930s, then lived in Arizona and New Mexico before coming to Idaho. She was a homemaker and mother and worked for Motorola in Phoenix for 30 years, where she retired as Supervisor of Quality Assurance. She loved to work, read, sew, make arts and crafts, and especially enjoyed watching old classic movies. Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with her son-in-law, Ken Mortensen, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
