MADGE A. JACOBS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Madge Artell Gneiting Jacobs, 86,
of Coltman, died April 1, 2004, at her home under the care of Hospice
of Eastern Idaho.
She was born on March 14, 1918, to Abraham Gneiting,
Jr. and Ada Mae Hicks Gneiting in their log home in Coltman, Idaho. She
was the third of five children. She attended grade school in Grant, Idaho,
and high school at Midway where she also attended Seminary.
She married George Joseph Jacobs on September 11, 1935,
and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 5, 1959.
She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She lived in Lewisville, Shelley
and New Sweden, and for the last 60 years of her life, on their farm in
Coltman. George passed away on January 14, 2000.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints all of her life, serving as a Primary teacher for many years, teacher
in the MIA, ward Relief Society Magazine representative, counselor in
the Relief Society presidency, visiting teacher, and was currently serving
as a visiting teaching supervisor.
She enjoyed being outdoors, raising flower gardens, and
was known for her well-kept yard. Madge was always one of the first to
provide compassionate service to her family, friends and neighbors and
especially loved visiting with her family and many friends.

Son: Leo Jacobs, Rigby, ID
Daughter: Debbie Noreen, Rigby, ID
14 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Ann Oram
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, April
5, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 2nd Ward (12448 North 5th East),
with Bishop David Keck officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue and for one hour prior
to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
