MADELINE BUTLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Madeline Butler, 87, of Idaho Falls, died April 14, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 9, 1915 at Iona, to John Wesley Ball and Lumana Shirtliff Ball. She grew up in the area and attended Iona High School.
She married Ray Eugene Messenger in December, 1934, and they were later divorced. In June of 1970, she married Wendell Butler at Mount Vernon, Washington. She was a homemaker and mother.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting and did many baby blankets, sweaters, booties, and also quilts for all her grandkids.
Surviving are:Husband: Wendell Butler, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Arlin (Mary) Messenger, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Jack (Carolyn) Messenger, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Patricia Nicholas, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: JoLee (Lynn) Thorngren, Forest Grove, ORBrother: Kenneth (Beth) Ball, Mesa, AZSister: Tillie (Harry) Buckmister, Mesa, AZSister: Dorothy Lottermoser, Mesa, AZ 21 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren, and 14 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters; 2 grandchildren, Scott Crumley and JackNicholas; and 2 great grandchildren.
Private Family Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, ID.
