Mable Theobald

Mable Wetzel Theobald, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2012, at Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. She was born March 7, 1923, in Clark, Idaho, to John Howard Wetzel and and Ellen Maud Mattson Wetzel. The family moved to Rigby, where she attended schools and graduated from Rigby High School. On September 2, 1942, she married Cloy J. Theobald in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a clerk at Kress’ Department Store and Snake River Equipment in Idaho Falls and Helen’s Fabric in Rigby. She and her husband were members of the Rolling Russets Good Sam Club. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions over the years, including Quilting Chairman, member of the Relief Society Presidency, and in the Young Women organization. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, bowling, and camping. Survivors are: Daughter: Julie Theobald, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sheila (Buck) Theobald-James, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Della E. Dixey, Fort Hall, ID Brother: Jim (Maureen) Wetzel, Thornton, ID Sister: Katie Taylor, Idaho Falls, ID 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be next to Cloy in Fielding Memorial Park.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
