Mabel Toone

Click Here To View Memorial Video Mabel Wright Toone, died Tuesday, surrounded by her family members. She was 70. Mabel had 4 children and 22 grandchildren. Mabel was born in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, to Wilder and Agatha Hatch of Chesterfield, Idaho. "Our beloved little house on the hill was, to me, the greatest place in the world. I grew up with two lovely sisters, a good brother, twin best friends across the road, and parents who were devoted to the gospel of Jesus Christ," she would tell her children, "It was heaven." Mabel was an angel mother who knew how to pass through life's shadows with a smile. She believed in miracles and rooted for underdogs. Her friends would tell you that there was no one more loyal and true. "We must have been friends in heaven," they would tell her. A descendent of kings and queens, apostles and pilgrims, and people who simply believed in things greater than their own selves… Mabel has left a great legacy for us to follow. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 - 2nd Street. Viewing will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow services at the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
