George Lynn Reynolds, 64, of Ammon, passed away on July 18, 2012, at his home. He was born December 30, 1947, in St. Anthony, Idaho to Shirley Ward Reynolds and Madge Marcella Howard Reynolds. He grew up and attended schools in Ashton, graduating from North Fremont High School in 1966. He attended Ricks College, the University of Utah, and graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree. He joined the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and received the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed in Sacramento, California and also served in South Asia. While in the military he worked on planes and after his military service he moved to Sacramento where he worked on heating and air conditioning systems. In 1978, he became employed by INL and worked there for 34 years. He also worked at Edwards Brother and Western Transportation. Lynn participated in Pike’s Peak Marathon and was a member of the Ski Patrol at Bear Gulch, Kelly Canyon and Snow King. On July 23, 2007, he married Cheri Lyn Sievers in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed all sports, including skiing, water skiing, soccer and mountain biking. He also enjoyed trucking, riding motorcycles, and loved spending time at Yellowstone Park. Survivors are: Wife: Cheri Reynolds, Ammon, ID Daughter: Amanda (Steve) England, Hailey, ID Stepson: Cody Rayl, Boise, ID Stepson: Shelby (Katie) Rayl, Nampa, ID Stepdaughter: Alexis Margret Spitz, Idaho Falls, ID Stepdaughter: Hailey Ann Spitz, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Weldon (Mary) Reynolds, Ashton, ID Sister: Lila (Leon) Martindale, Ashton, ID Sister: Vella (Owen) Romrell, Howe, ID 4 step grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Reynolds. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the Ammon LDS 26th Ward (1100 Tie Breaker Drive) with Bishop Rodney Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho.
