Lynn Radford

Lynn Edward Radford, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 29, 2017, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Lynn was born July 4, 1934, in Ririe, Idaho, to Glen James Radford and Dortha Louisa Monroe Radford. He grew up and attended schools in the Rigby area and graduated from Rigby High School. He also attended Ricks College.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On August 17, 1956, he married Kay Harker in Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple. To this union were born five children, Linda, Laura, Gary, Vicki, and Janese. Lynn and Kay made their home in Southern California, where Lynn worked for Baron Swimming Pool Plastering Company as a vice president and personnel manager.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Bishop in the Orange California 3rd Ward, on a CES Mission in Savannah, Georgia, Melbourne, Australia, and Muncie, Indiana. He enjoyed puzzles, gardening, church service, scouting, and being a temple worker, and especially his family. He loved being a Grandpa and Great Grandpa.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kay Radford of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Linda (John Ries) Radford of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Laura (Paul) Gajdos of Alpine, UT; son, Gary L. (Jamie) Radford of Rigby, ID; daughter, Vicki (Bob) Reynolds of Riverside, CA; daughter, Janese (Shane) Christley of Elk Ridge, UT; 27 grandchildren and 2 3/4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Vardus Radford, and a sister Ruth Gibbons.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at Ucon LDS Monument Ward, 10854 North 41 East, with Bishop Pugmire officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.

Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
