Click Here To View Memorial Video Garland Lynn Kidd, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 7, 2014, at his home. Lynn was born December 28, 1936, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to James Darwin Kidd and Grace Marie Stewart Kidd. He attended schools in the Idaho falls area including Ammon and Idaho Falls High School. He completed his degree in the military. He also attended Idaho State University. He married Roberta Lowe Ward on December 16, 1961, in Idaho Falls. From this union they had three daughters; Kerri, Jodi and Nichole. They were later divorced. On June 13, 1985, he married Shirley Cummings Jensen in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They enjoyed camping, traveling, cross country skiing, winters in Yuma and especially spending time with family. Lynn started working at Albertsons when he was twelve until he entered the service at age seventeen. He worked in sales and later became an office manager and retired from Phoncom Inc. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, in between the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, as a paratrooper earning the ranking of Corporal in the 82nd Airborne. He won several awards as an expert marksman. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities. He enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, fly fishing and having coffee with friends. He was devoted to his family, his religion and his country. Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Shirley Kidd, daughter, Kerri (Brent Thompson) Larsen of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Jodi (Robby) Denning of Iona, ID, daughter, Nichole (Kelly) Aldinger of Idaho Falls, ID, step-son, V. Allen (Christine) Jensen of Blackfoot, ID, step-daughter, Deanna (Leonard) Decker of South Jordan, UT, brother, Lavern (Susan) Kidd of Ammon, ID, brother, Tom (Kalyn) Wilhelm of Firth, ID, brother, Gerald (Roxanne) Wilhelm of Shelley, ID, sister, Sharron (Larry) Rhodes of Hillsboro, OR,. 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Darwin Kidd, mother, Grace Gibbs, sister, Lawanna Kidd, step-father, Harry Wilhelm and Harding Gibbs, grandfather, Frank Stewart, grandmother, Grace Stewart, grandmother, Pearl Stewart, and a granddaughter, Kennedi Aldinger. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Westview LDS Ward (2020 Charlotte Dr.),with Bishop Kenneth C. Anderson officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery. The family suggests donations to The Fisher House in Salt Lake City, 690 Valdez Circle, Salt Lake City, Utah 84148 Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

Ridge Ave.) and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
