Darrell Lynn (Lynn D.) Gardner 74 of Irwin, Idaho passed away December 17, 2013, at his home from a short battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his loving wife and family. The family would like to thank Alli of One Source Hospice for the care she gave Lynn. Lynn was born January 29, 1939, the third child of six, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Raymond Gardner and Ruby Simmons Gardner. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended schools there. Lynn and Pat bought property in Irwin in 1994 and moved there in 1996. Lynn served in the U. S. Army from January 1956 to January 1959. To their union were born three wonderful sons, Kevin Lynn, Darren Ray and Bret Stanley. Lynn worked for Conrad & Bishoff for ten years, H-K Contractors for ten years and then owned his own business, Gardner Builders & Home Improvements until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors and the mountains where he enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, three wheeling and four wheeling, dancing with his wife and he most of all dearly loved his family and spending special time with them.
