Lynda Kaye Storms

Lynda Kaye Storms, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 30, 2023, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.

Lynda was born April 20, 1963, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Robert LeRoy Storms and Janet Mae Burgin Storms. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Longfellow Elementary School. She graduated from meridian High School in 1981. She worked many years as a manager in the retail industry.

On September 18, 1982, she married Kim Poulsen. They were later divorced in 2005.

Lynda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Young Women’s program and loved attending girls’ camp each year.

Lynda absolutely loved to bake and she was very good at it! She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time in the mountains. Her dad built a cabin on Bills Island in Island Park and this became a special place for Lynda. She loved her grandkids very much and spoiled them whenever she could. She was a school bus driver and was loved by her students.

Lynda is survived by her mother, Janet Mae Storms of Idaho Falls, ID; children Mark (Alissa) Poulsen of Idaho Falls, ID, Kayla (Jorge) Erosa of West Jordan, UT, Kimberlee (Austin) Reidhead of Andover, KS, Kelsee (David) Allison of Idaho Falls, ID, and Chad Poulsen of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings Patty (Matt) Murphy of Meridian, ID, Sandy (Earl) Hurst of Farmington, UT, Bobbi (Nathan) Nielsen of Taylorsville, UT, and Ryan (Cyndee) Storms of Rigby, ID; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert LeRoy Storms, granddaughters, Emma, Zyra, Serenety, and Denver; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Park Taylor Ward, 5255 South 5th West, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Greg Hunter officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home (273 N Ridge), and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery.
