Lynda Helen Ells Myers, the wife of David Heilman Myers and mother of Scott and Clayton Myers, died on Friday, July 14, 2017, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was 70. Her son, Clayton, said the cause was cancer, adding that his mother battled cancer since 1993.

Lynda was born December 23, 1946, in Portland, Oregon. Her birth name was Katherine Marcelle Menger and her birth parents were Annie and Steve Menger. As an infant, she was adopted by Walter Maxwell and Marian Elizabeth Ells and named Lynda Helen Ells. Lynda graduated from South Eugene high school in 1966.

Lynda married David Myers in Eugene, Oregon, on August 24, 1968. She moved to Salem in 1974 and later to Newberg, Oregon, in 1980 and Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1996.

While raising her two sons, Lynda worked for US Bank and later owned and managed the Papa Aldo's Pizzeria in Lake Grove, Oregon. She loved the Oregon coast. She was a lifelong collector of sea shells and had interests in stained glass and water color. Lynda loved to travel and enjoyed telling stories of her travels with her husband to Europe and the Caribbean.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 49 years, David, her two sons, Scott (Monica) Myers and Clayton (Amy) Myers, and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
