Lyle Fullmer Hansen, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 11, 2016, at Morningstar Senior Living Center. He was under the care of Encompass Home Health.

Lyle was born September 24, 1931, in Tetonia, Idaho, to William Leroy Hansen and Wanda Valarie Fullmer Hansen. He grew up and attended schools in Tetonia and graduated from Teton High School in 1949.

On March 27, 1951, he married Gloria Dean Hinckley in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born three children, Craig, Mark, and Deanna. Lyle and Gloria made their home in Idaho Falls. He worked as a print shop supervisor for EG&G for 40 years. Lyle also ran Hansen Printing out of his home for 45 years. He loved working with his family in the shop.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We will never forget the memories made at his favorite fishing hole, Henry’s Lake; hunting with his sons and best friend, Ray Cook; water skiing, snow skiing, and snowmobiling with family and friends; and golfing at Star Valley with his kids and grandchildren.

Lyle loved watching his kids and grandchildren play sports, as well as watching his Utah Jazz. He loved listening to his daughter, sons, and the grandkids play the piano. He loved traveling to different countries and places in the United States with Gloria, family, and friends. Going fishing with Craig in Alaska was one of the many highlights of his life. Craig and Robyn took selfless care of Craig’s parents the past few years.

A special thank you for the loving care that was given by the Morningstar Senior Living staff and all the support they gave to Lyle the past two years. He really loved the time he spent with his caregivers. Thanks to Encompass for all of their help and love the past two weeks.

Lyle is survived by his son, Craig (Robyn) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, DeWayne "Dutch" Hansen of Rigby, ID; brother, Dell (Sharon) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Keith Hansen of Mesquite, NV; sister-in-law, Norma Hansen of Tetonia, ID; sister, Peggy Bird of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law, Frank (Norma) Hinckley of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
