Lydia Bertha (Klum) Carney

May your spirit fly as high as your middle finger did . . .

The world lost such an amazing soul on August 9, 2024. Lydia B. Carney passed away in the afternoon in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was surrounded by family and friends and was finally able to rest her weary bones. Hers was a name that should be the definition of strength, love, kindness, and sass.

There were those in our family that passed before her. Getting into that is not what she wanted. She wanted her friends and family to remember the good times, the times we laughed, the times that gave us strength, and ALL of the times the ornery old lady would flip anyone in her vicinity off.

She worked hard and loved even harder. She taught so many the skill of love, determination, and hard work. Taking pride in what you do, keeping your word, standing up for what you believe in, and above all else, NEVER GIVING UP!

Her early years were filled with hardships and situations. Were it anyone else, it may have ruined their soul, however that never stopped this fireball. She fought to survive and when her family grew, she fought to keep them out of the situations she went through. As her kids, we got into all kinds of trouble. This incredible woman never stopped loving us, in fact she loved us even harder. She never gave up teaching and supporting us through tough love and big hugs.

She was an incredible bowler, and quite the wild woman. Between falling off horses, skinny dipping in hotels, and morning phone calls to her friends, she was one of the best. I can onlyimagine what heaven will be like with her and her troop of gals up there, but I bet it's a riot.

She will be missed every second of every day. If you knew her, you would like that she isn't just a person you meet, she's a force of pure amazement that will forever leave a mark on your life.

We love you Lydia. Life will never be the same without you. Until we meet again in the stars that brighten the sky, we will find your spirit in the flowers and each other. As family and friends, the memories will forever remain strong. Sleep sweet you wild woman. We love you.

Private family services will be held.
