Lydia Dill

JOAN DILL UCON, ID -- Lydia Joan Gaither Dill, 98, of Ucon, died May 15, 2008, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 23, 1909, at Astoria, Oregon to Marquis William Gaither and Mona Baker Gaither. She grew up and attended schools in the area. She later continued her education by attending the University of California in Sacramento where she received her Nursing Degree at the age of 62. On December 31, 1926, she married Arthur W. Ystad in Astoria, Oregon. They were later divorced. In 1949, she married Harry E. Dill in Hawaii. He preceded him in death in 1991. She was a mother, homemaker, and worked as a nurse in Oceanside, California. Survivors include: Son: William A. Ystad, Oregon City, OR Daughter: Beverly (Bert) Miller, Ucon, ID Daughter: Patty Ann Bailey, Burbank, CA 11 Grandchildren & 35 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and a great grandchild. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Rose Hill Cemetery with David Schwartz officiating. ------------------------------------ Condolences received online: Julie Bailey I love you grandma and be at peace.
