LULUA BLACKBURN
RIGBY, ID -- Lulua Mary Loran Blackburn, 84, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on May 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 7, 1925, in Missoula, Montana to Jacob Loran and Mary Fitterer Loran. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from high school there.
On June 29, 1946, she married Malvern Quick “Huck” Blackburn in Missoula, Montana. They lived in Prineville, OR; Anaconda, MT; Libby, MT; Idaho Falls, ID; and for the past 38 years were residents of Rigby, ID. Lulua was a devoted mother and homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death on August 24, 1989.
Lulua enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle.

Daughter: Sharon Louise Blackburn, Spokane, WA
Brother: Jacob Loran, Seattle, WA
Sister: Ann Wilcox, Missoula, MT
Sister: Kate McBride, Missoula, MT
Sister: Monica Campbell, Missoula, MT
3 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Melody Ann Blackburn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Monday from 1-1:45 p.m., both at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in the Missoula City Cemetery in Missoula, MT. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83705.
