LULA HANSON
BLACKFOOT, ID -- Lula Lamont Hanson, 98, passed away peacefully
on Thursday morning, October 9, 2003, as the result of a fall. She was a
resident of Ridge Wind Assisted Living Center in Pocatello.
She was born on June 16, 1905, in the small farming community
of Felt, Idaho, to Louis Anderson Lamont and Martha Jane Howell Lamont.
On June 25, 1925, she married Stephen H. Hanson in St.
Anthony, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized on January 31, 1947,
in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She was the youngest of 10 children, all of whom preceded
her in death. She is survived by two children, Steven L. and Marilyn Hanson
of Boise and Joan and Burke Poole of Riverside, Idaho. Survivors also include
17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
Her family was her greatest delight and she loved them all.
The family would also like to express a special thank you
to the staff at Ridge Wind. They were her “extended family”
and she loved them all, also.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 13,
2003, at the Riverside LDS Ward (7 North 700 West in Blackfoot). The family
will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Grove City Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
