LuJuanna Gail White Carney, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away on August 6, 2016, at The Gables of Shelley.
She was born March 15, 1935, in Shelley, Idaho to Earl George White and Effie Russell White. She grew up in the area and attended schools in Shelley and attended Idaho Falls High School.
She married Louis Harvey Carney on June 20, 1953 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a cook for New Sweden Elementary School and a clerk at JC Penney.
LuJuanna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Louis served a family history mission together in Los Angeles, California. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, genealogy, and singing. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors are: Son: Don Carney of Gilbert, Arizona Daughter: Nancy (Rulon) Young of Idaho Falls, Idaho Son: Louis Robert "Bob" (Kim) Carney of Idaho Falls, Idaho Son: Terry (Tricia) Carney of Boise, Idaho Son: Kevin (Bobette) Carney of Idaho Falls, Idaho Son: Kenneth (Stephanie) Carney of Sandy, Utah Sister: Yvonne Humes of St. George, Utah Sister: Jeanette (Delar) Lords of Idaho Falls, Idaho Brother: Earl (Polly) White of Menan, Idaho Sister: Marilyn LaFrance of Oregon Sister: Dorothie Bischoff of Shelley, Idaho Sister: Deona (John) Gonzales of Idaho Falls, Idaho 19 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; two daughters, Laurie Ann and Jean Marie; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Fox Hollow Ward (2345 West 17th South). The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery.
