RUBY V. CARRIGAN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ruby V. Walker Carrigan, 87, of Idaho Falls, died October 31, 2003 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. She was born August 20, 1916 at Mansfield, Texas to Grady and Beulah Stowe. She attended school in Pasadena, California and graduated from Pasadena High School. She attended Boise Junior College (now Boise State University) and received her licensed practical nurse certification. In 1936, she married Ervin Walker. They operated a nursing home in Boise until his death in 1960. She moved to Walla Walla, Washington where she worked at the general hospital and for a couple of physicians until she retired. There she met Bert Carrigan and married him in 1971. They moved to Mesa, Arizona. He died in 1986. In 1999, she moved to Idaho Falls where she resided with her son, Fred and daughter-in-law, Charlene. She was a member of the Idaho Falls Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed sewing; making ceramics; bird watching, especially hummingbirds; and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren: James Walker, Jodi Lopez, Rob Walker, Allen Walker, Tawna Maddaloni, Lisa Walker, Lynette Strange, and Nikki Walker. Survivors include: Son: Fred (Charlene) Walker, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Robert (Sue) Walker, Hawaii Son: William (Terry) Walker, Lakewood, WA Brother: Gene Whitehall, Healsbury, CA Sister: Etta Mae Harr, Escondido, CA Sister: Jenny Jackson, Covina, CA Mother: Beulah Whitehall, San Rosa, CA 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husbands and a brother, Preston Whitehall. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the Caldwell Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Caldwell, Idaho. Private Inurnment will be at the Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell.
