Lucy Gwendolyn Cox Brunson, 82, passed away July 22, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
Lucy was born March 1, 1931, in Shelley, Idaho, to Orville Southerland Cox and Ruth Gertrude Christensen Cox. She graduated from Shelley High School.
Lucy married Clarence Alvin Brunson November 11, 1955, in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 6, 1999. Clarence passed away October 12, 2010. Lucy was a homemaker and mother of nine children. She lived in Ammon for twenty years and Idaho Falls for thirty.
Lucy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a missionary at the Family History Center in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as genealogy work and camping.

Son, Christopher (Brandy) Brunson of Hillsboro, OR;
Daughter, Carolyn (Ted) Neal of Yorktown, IN;
Brother, Orville C. (Ines) Cox of Shelley, ID;
Brother, Paul (Pat) Cox of Nampa, ID;
Brother, Roy (RaDean) Cox of Shelley, ID;
Brother Merrill (Vicki) Cox of Shelley, ID;
Sister, Eunice (Garn) Penfold of Moline, IL;
Sister, Emma Jean (Jay) Freeman of Mesa, AZ;
Sister, Virginia (Scott) Walker of Henderson, NV.
56 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Jerry Cox, and two sisters, Irene Stewart and Lawana LeBaron, two grandsons, Jory Al Brunson and Troy Mechling, and two great grandsons, Griffin Conkle and Tyler Benjamin Brunson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS Sageview Ward Building, 1345 Clarence Drive, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Blackfoot-Grove City Cemetery.
