Lucille Murri

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Frances Lucille Zink Murri, 95, of Idaho Falls and formerly of Ashton, passed away on December 9, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. She was born September 30, 1915, in Kilgore, Idaho to Joseph Henry Zink and Katherine E. Dailing Zink. She was raised there and at Idmon, attending schools in those areas. On June 29, 1935, she married Boyd M. Christensen at her parent’s home in Kilgore. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in the Teton basin and some years later moved to Parker. Boyd preceded her in death on April 5, 1947. She married Ernest Murri of Ashton on April 7, 1949, and lived there 50 years raising their family and working at several jobs. Her favorite was head cook at the Ashton schools. Mom was an accomplished cook and served many meals there and prepared many family get-togethers. In 1995, they moved to Idaho Falls to be near family and medical care. Ernest passed away on October 1, 1999. Lucille was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. She enjoyed raising a large garden, canning, crocheting, keeping up on the news, camping, watching basketball and baseball games on TV, and especially loved reading and being with her family. She is survived by her children; Reed (Yone) Christensen of Richardson, TX, Joyce (Bart) Carlson of Idaho Falls, ID, Lorin (Nancy) Murri of Meridian, ID and Gary (Judy) Christensen of Eagle, ID; son-in-law, John Larson of Idaho Falls; 26 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; and 31 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands; and 4 children, Judith Christensen, Joan Larson, Brent Murri, and Leon Murri. She was the remaining one left of 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mill Run Ward (2020 Charlotte) with Bishop Bryan Larson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
