Lucille Dixon Jahn, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 22, 2010, at Lincoln Court Assisted Living.
Lucille was born on February 10, 1921 in Idaho Falls to Roy Dixon and Annie Ethel Fullenwider Dixon. She grew up in the New Sweden area and attended school at the New Sweden Elementary School and Idaho Falls High School.
After high school, Lucille attended Utah State University to participate in secretarial and business classes. She spent time in Seattle working as a secretary before the outbreak of World War II.
On January 16, 1944, she married Robert Grant Jahn. Besides helping with the family farms and ranch, Lucille found time to belong to the FA Bridge Club of which she was a charter member. She also volunteered for the Red Cross, Idaho Food Bank, and was a member of the DOES. She loved horseback riding her entire life and was a member of the Idaho Cowbells. Lucille spent many days working in her yard tending to her flowers and was a lady of grace and dignity.
Once a month she and Bob would gather with friends whom they both treasured. The Saturday Night bunch was a wonderful group of people who shared their love of bridge.
