Lucas Tyler Hammer, 9, of Rigby, Idaho, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2016, as a result of brain cancer. Lucas was born June 2, 2006, in Boise, Idaho, to loving parents, Daniel and Michelle (Price) Hammer, but lived most of his life in Rigby, Idaho, where he was well-known and well-loved by many in the community. Lucas was a best friend to his older brother, Deagan, and a loving big brother to younger brother and sister, Bronson and Zevi. He was a happy, loving, giving boy who enjoyed so many things in life. He loved to help his mother in the kitchen and enjoyed doing projects and being with his Dad in the outdoors. He participated in scouting and sports, playing football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. His favorite sport was golf, in which he scored a hole-in-one when he was nine years old. Lucas was committed to serving others, both at home and in his community. He enjoyed being on the Student Council at Farnsworth Elementary School when he was in the third grade. Lucas’s happy, loving, and caring manner was an inspiration to all who met him.
