LuAnn Harmer Taylor, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at her home after courageously battling brain cancer. She was under the care of her family and OneSource Hospice.
LuAnn was born June 15, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harold Harmer and Venita Peterson Harmer. She grew up in Payson, Utah and graduated from Payson High School.
On June 16, 1960, she married Kenneth Jay Taylor in Payson. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on February 1, 1967. LuAnn and Kenneth lived in Sandy, Utah for eight years, then moved to Idaho Falls in 1969.
LuAnn was a wife, mother, and a homemaker. She and Kenneth raised four children. For 29 years, LuAnn worked for School District #91 as a secretary at New Sweden and Westside Elementary Schools.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. LuAnn loved her family and grandkids. She enjoyed remodeling, decorating, and shopping.

Daughter: Lisa (Doug) Walker,
Son: Greg (April) Taylor, and
Daughter: Jill (Mike) Fish, all of Idaho Falls, ID;
12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren;
Brother: Dean (Ruth) Harmer of Salina, UT;
Sisters: Lynette (Kay) Houser of Payson, UT; and
Dianne (Bruce) Fullmer of Panguitch, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Venita and Harold Harmer; daughter, Wendy T. Bills; sister, Connie Ross; and brother-in-law, Dan Ross.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Idaho Falls LDS Skyline Ward (2345 West 17th South) with Bishop Kirk Larsen officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue) and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
