Lovena Bills

Lovena Esther Bills, 65, of Shelley, passed away March 31, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of Encompass Home Health and Hospice and her loving family. Lovena was born November 29, 1952, in Sacramento, California, to Ken Cooley and Clarice Androwsky (McCarrel). She was a California girl through and through. Lovena and her family moved to Utah, where she graduated from Layton High School. After graduation she attended nursing school and worked in the surgical field. On May 12, 1979, she married James Lee Bills in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born two children; Heidi and Shane. She was given the privilege of gaining four step-children: Brooke, Aaron, Allen and James. Lovena and James made their home in Shelley, Idaho. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and The Order of The Eastern Star, Henrietta Chapter #21. Lovena was a past Worthy Matron and also loved her "Jobbie" daughters. She enjoyed camping but only if there wasn’t a tent! Lovena also enjoyed playing cards and rummy was her favorite. Growing up she was entertained by the Beach Boys and going to concerts. Recently she took a love to country music. She appreciated various crafts: sewing, needlework, coloring, painting and crocheting. Lovena was previously a Shih-tzu breeder and loved to also rescue them. Her dog was with her to the end. She loved going to the beach and liked looking for sand dollars and listening to the ocean. Lovena was a wonderful grandmother, was very proud of all her grandchildren and loved spoiling them. Lovena is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, James Bills of Shelley, ID; and her daughter, Heidi (Joshua) Jensen of Shelley, ID. She was also survived by her step-daughter, Brooke Bills of Astoria, OR; step-son, Aaron Bills of St. Helens, OR; step-son, Allen Bills of Urbandale, IA; step-son, James Bills of Astoria, OR; brother, Leonard Van Ausdal of Riverton, UT; sister, April Van Ausdal of Huntsville, TX; sister, Sherrie Crespo Olsen of Draper, UT; brother, Eugene Van Ausdal of Idaho Falls, ID; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother-Clarice Androwsky, her grandparents, and son, Shane Bills. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior.
