GAIL BYERS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lovella Gail Hayes Byers, 72, of Idaho Falls, died October 28, 2007, at her home.
She was born April 25, 1935, in East Chicago, Indiana, to Charles Morton Hayes and Mary Elizabeth Kurns Hayes. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Fergus High School. She continued her education by attending Mt. Ellis Academy, Walla Walla SDA College where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and Orange Coast College where she studied interior design.
On June 20, 1961, she married Matthew Robert Byers in Montana. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as an Elementary School Teacher.
She was active as a missionary and involved in church support groups for the SDA church with her husband, who was the minister. Gail enjoyed art and design, nature, and especially loved her family and spending time with them.

Son: Joseph (Crystal) Byers, Jackson, WY
Daughter: Melody Byers, Idaho Falls, ID
Mother: Mary Hayes, Lewistown, MT
Brother: Melvin Hayes, Blanchard, ID
Brother: Charles (Emma) Hayes, Jr, Frisco, TX
6 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband; father; and a son, Marlon.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2007, at Fielding Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends Friday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls.
