Lova Yvonne (Stoddard) Jensen

Lova Yvonne Jensen, 87, of Ammon, passed away May 28, 2024.

Lova was born September 13, 1936, in Lorenzo, Idaho, to Lymond Stoddard and Myrtle Green Stoddard. She grew up in Lorenzo and attended schools in Rigby. She also attended Ricks College.

On September 18, 1958, she married John Harris Putnam in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. Lova worked as a secretary at the University of Idaho and the INL.

Lova was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many talents and hobbies. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed doing ceramics and scrapbooking. She loved playing the piano and spending time in her garden.

Lova is survived by her children, Cathy (Sam) Wilcock of Cedar City, UT, Jana (Brad) Landon of Idaho Falls, ID, Brad (Kristine) Putnam of Casper, WY, and Troy Putnam of Boise, ID; siblings, Richard (Deon) Stoddard of Rigby, ID, Merlin (Jeanne) Stoddard of Lorenzo, ID, and Juanita (Gerald (deceased)) Nyborg of St. George, UT; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, William, sister, Faye (Foster) Chandler, and sister, Virginia (Dale) Fullmer.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Stonehaven Ward, 2055 Coronado Street, with Bishop Brandon Wooley officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
