Louise Burbidge Rencher, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at her home from causes incident to age.

She was born December 13, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George William Burbidge and Marguerite Smith Burbidge. She was the third child of four children and was raised and attended schools in Salt Lake City. She continued her education at Brigham Young University and earned a bachelor degree in dietetics and nutrition. She was valedictorian of both her high school and university.

On June 10, 1948, she married B Jay Rencher in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. They both taught at Ricks College before moving to Idaho Falls in 1957. She taught foods and nutrition, child development, and home economics.

Louise was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Gospel was very important to her. She was considered as expert in church doctrine and taught doctrinal classes all her life. She served as Relief Society, Mutual, and Primary president in both the ward and stake levels. She served a full-time mission with her husband to Micronesia, Guam, and a second mission to Nigeria. Africa.

She loved her family and attended every graduation, baptism, blessing, ordination, wedding, play, and sports activity each of her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren were involved in. Each felt they were the most important person in their grandmother's life. She was always loving, positive, and encouraging.

She is survived by her brother, George Smith Burbidge; and her eight children, Craig (Connie) Rencher of Twin Falls, Idaho, Mark (Karen) Rencher of Idaho Falls, Tamla Rencher of Idaho Falls, Melany (Michael) Gard of Riverton, Wyo., Trent (Dianne) Rencher of Poulsbo, Wash., Stacy (Patti) Rencher of Roy, Utah, Ceri Rencher of Salem, Utah, and Lance (Laura) Rencher of Poulsbo, Wash. She has 32 grandchildren and 82 great grandchildren, all of whom love her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 7, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:45 prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
