LOUISE BERNTSON IDAHO FALLS, ID - Louise Berntson, 88, of Idaho Falls, died November 26, 2003, at Idaho Falls Care Center. She was born April 18, 1915 in Wellsville, Utah, to Thomas Hendry Stuart and Vera Bailey Murray Stuart. She grew up and attended schools in the area and High School in Hyrum, Utah.. She married Melvin William Bernston on August 13, 1939 in Logan, Utah. She was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper and in motel management. Melvin died in 1986. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. Surviving are: Daughter: Carol (Ray) Spaulding, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Margaret (Jay)Gentle, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Bruce (Lydia) Berntson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sandra (Marshall) Banks, Midland, TX Daughter: Gayle High, Idaho Falls 13 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren Sisters: Beatrice (Vernon) Perkins, Ogden, UT; LuDean Jenkins, Ogden, UT Elizabeth “Betty” (Dean) Haslam, Wellsville, UT. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas, Sisters, Margaret, Vera, Susannah, Connie and 2 brothers-in-law, Blaine Jenkins and Brigham Morse. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Ray Spaulding of the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
