LOU WESTBERG
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Louis Frederick Westberg, 51, of Idaho Falls, died February 1, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of cardiac arrest.
He was born October 4, 1957, in Houston, Texas to Billy Monroe Westberg and June Etola Lewis Westberg. He grew up in Texas, where he graduated from Reagan High School. He was on the swim team and the debate team. After graduation, he attended Arizona State University.
Lou served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He moved from Texas to Idaho Falls in 2005.
He worked as a truck driver, a mechanic, at a lumber yard, and at an electronics retail store. He was a member of the Protestant faith. Lou enjoyed gardening, cooking, auto mechanics and restoration, fishing, hunting, auto racing, music and archery.
He is survived by his mother, June Westberg, Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his father Billy, his sister Kelly Michelle Westberg, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, 885 South Boulevard, with Bishop Pete Demitropoulous officiating.
