Lottie Fern Jacobson, 97, of Swan Valley, passed away October 2, 2014, at Great Oaks Assisted Living in Rigby, Idaho. Lottie was born November 24, 1916, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to William James Cleverley and Emily Lucinda Harmon Cleverley. On May 26, 1938, she married Alton Sylverous Jacobson. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 12, 1962. To this union was born a son, DeVon. Lottie and Alton made their home in Grand Valley until it was flooded by the Palisades Reservoir, then moved to Swan Valley, where Lottie was a loving mother and housewife. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held various callings in the Primary and Relief Society. Lottie is survived by her son, DeVon Alton (Kelly) Jacobson of Irwin, ID; brother, Vern (Myrle) Cleverley of Afton, WY; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her father, William James Cleverley; mother, Emily Lucinda Cleverley; husband, Alton Jacobson; and 10 siblings. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014, at the Swan Valley Palisades LDS Ward, 3109 Swan Valley Hwy, with Bishop Terry Hulse officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
