Lorraine was born July 2, 1926, at the family home in Annis, Idaho, to Riley Hall and Mina Bitton Hall. Lorraine grew up on the farm in Annis, Idaho, being the youngest of 8 children. When her brothers were drafted to serve in World War II she worked alongside her father to maintain the family farm. She attended schools in the area and graduated from Midway High School.
On November 15, 1945, she married Roy Jacobsen in Menan, Idaho. They were blessed with two sons, Steve and Ken. Lorraine and Roy made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho and while residing there she kept the family home in order. She worked several years at the Idaho Department Store located on 1st Street. She went to Cosmetology School and worked as a cosmetologist at a shop located in her home.
In 1969, they purchased and moved to a farm in the Taylor area. When they moved to the farm, she began growing a garden and her yard was full of flowers. When the farm was purchased it was in disrepair. She worked alongside Roy making it a home to be proud of. She resided there until her death.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and working in her garden. She loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping. She liked traveling with Roy. Many winters they traveled to Southern California and Arizona appreciating the warmer weather and making friends. They enjoyed traveling with friends to Alaska, driving and going on cruises.
A few simple words cannot begin to describe how she touched the lives of those she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was friendly and a good neighbor appreciating many friends. With a loving, generous heart, the true love of her life were her family and friends. We will miss her.
