Lorna B. Green, 87, passed away peacefully Nov. 25, 2017, at the home of her daughter in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Born November 5, 1930, in Hinckley, Utah, to Nephi Earl Brown and Wanda Mae Jardine Brown, Lorna Lu Brown married her best friend, Robert Clark Green, October 23, 1952, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Lorna grew up on a farm in Menan, Idaho, and later attended Ricks College and Idaho State University before marrying Robert and settling in Idaho Falls. Remembered by many for her music, Lorna played the violin, the piano, and the organ. She conducted church choirs for nearly 40 years and taught music lessons to many, including her children and grandchildren. She fostered musicianship in all who had the privilege of working with her in this capacity. As a young mother, Lorna sat first chair in the Idaho Falls Symphony, but eventually chose to channel her musical talents into her love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, sharing her testimony through music in countless home and church gatherings. Above all, Lorna loved her family. Her warm embrace, wise counsel, and unwavering devotion to her Father in Heaven will be missed by those whom she left behind, but they will find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her many loved ones on the other side. Survivors include her husband: Robert Clark Green; three sons and two daughters: Robert Earl (Nicole) Green of Farmington, UT; David (Karen) Green of Shelby Township, MI; John (Julie) Green of St. George, UT; Lorette (Lance) Reese of West Bloomfield, MI; and Lauri (Mont) Robinson of Logan, UT. Additionally, she is survived by 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Ella Brown Glick, and a brother, Errol Brown. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carol Ann Green; and two brothers, Richard Brown and Robert Brown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Idaho Falls LDS Westhill Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, and starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
