LORIN WARD ST. GEORGE, UT -- Lorin Loveland Ward, 84, of Idaho Falls, died April 26, 2004 in St. George, Utah. He was born August 16, 1919, in Idaho Falls, to George Jones Ward and Annie Luella Loveland Ward. He was raised on farms in the Idaho Falls area. He served his country during World War II in South Africa. He married Donna May Oswald in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 14, 1947. He worked at KID Radio and TV Station as a comptroller for over 40 years. He was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Bishop of the Idaho Falls 20th Ward, in the Idaho Falls Stake Presidency, and in other various callings over the years. He loved skiing, swimming, camping, bike riding, reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, He is survived by his wife, Donna and children: Brent (Donna) Ward, Lynn (Annette) Ward, Karen (Scott) Bullock, Cheryl (Dave) Owen, Doug (Kathy) Ward, Jerry (Kathy) Ward, Janet (Brent) Hagen, and Ken Ward, as well as 37 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Eldon and Lyle, and two sisters, Elvira Andersen and Hazel Haymore. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell, three sisters, Leola Stucki, Vera Ward, and Marlene Stucki, and a grandson, Brandon Bullock. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS 20th Ward (651 Gladstone) with Bishop Lance Toone officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
