Lorin Alton Bressler, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 18, 2016, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family. Lorin was born November 23, 1929, in Ashton, Idaho, to Merlin LaDean Bressler and Mabel Crouch Bressler. He grew up and attended schools in Ashton and graduated from North Fremont High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On October 24, 1954, he married Joan Rae Russell in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 9, 1978. To this union were born five children, Jeff, Lori, Kathy, Wayne, and Becky. Lorin and Joan made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Lorin worked for Aargon Hazard Maintenance, Culligan delivery, and forestry services. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Lorin is survived by his son, Jeffrey Bressler of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lori (Tony) Wade of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kathy Lewis of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Wayne (Nancy) Bressler of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Becky Moore of Idaho Falls, ID; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Mabel Bressler; and his wife, Joan Rae Bressler. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4602 South Yellowstone Highway, Idaho Falls. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
