Lorie Harvey

Lorie Harvey, 71, of Rigby, passed away June 15, 2025, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family.

Lorie was born January 17, 1954, in Blythe, California, to Lorel Dean Harvey and Peggy Ann Weiss Harvey. She grew up and attended schools in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena High School. She also attended Pasadena City College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

Lorie made her home in Rigby. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served missions in New York, New York, and Boston, Massachusetts. She enjoyed flowers, art, photography, and oceanography.

While in nursing school, she became known as Renaissance Woman because she knew so many different things...baking, canning, knitting, etc.

Lorie is survived by her brother, John (Becky) Harvey of Ammon, ID; sister, Lisa (Marlin) Richardson of Cody, WY; sister, Leanne Harvey of Rigby, ID; brother, Jay Dee (Celeste) Harvey of Iona, ID; sister, Burnetta Peak of Henderson, NV; and brother, Michael (Becky) Harvey of Shelley, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Rigby Holbrook Stake Center, 196 N. 4000 E., with Bishop Rich Byram of the Rigby 10th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
